OHT’s Dot Sheehan Recognized With 2019 ICLA Service Award
The International Collegiate Licensing
Association (ICLA) is proud to announce Dot Sheehan,
founder of Operation Hat Trick (OHT), as the
2019 ICLA Service Award recipient.
Since founding Operation Hat Trick in 2008, Sheehan and the organization have
raised over $1 million in donations. Going beyond the call of duty, Sheehan's
impact, not only on the collegiate licensing landscape, but on the many lives
of wounded and disabled veterans has been profound. Utilizing over three
decades of experience in collegiate licensing, she created a platform that
everyone can rally around - supporting our service men and women as they
recover from their wounds of war. A 2013 Innovators'Award recipient,
Sheehan is a collegiate licensing leader whose vision and leadership has led to
incremental sales to collegiate institutions and inspired universities
throughout the country to leverage their brands to help injured and recovering
service members and veterans.
"Dot Sheehan is the poster child for what ICLA's
Service Award is all about," stated
current ICLA President Adam Parker, associate director,
licensing & trademarks at BYU. "Not only has she demonstrated a
commitment to go above and beyond the call of duty, she has established
Operation Hat Trick, which is a shining example of how a caused-based business
should be managed. OHT benefits the consumer, universities, licensees, and most
importantly our veterans. Thank you, Dot, for all you have done for our
veterans and the collegiate licensing industry."
